French Bulldogs like any other breed have specific needs and characteristics that will tell you if they are the right choice for you and your family.
French Bulldogs are low in maintenence as far as grooming and excersize but can be high in maintenance in other areas.
These little dogs love to have fun and will require a good variety of play toys.
They love to be outside as they are very curious and often will chase lizards or blowing leaves.
You must be responsible and in tune with your dog as these with the bracycephalic type head that gives them their pushed in faces does not allow for them to regulate heat readily.
Walking on hot days or being outside long periods of time should be avoided or your pet can get very sick or even die from heat exhaustion.
A Spray bottle or cooling pad is recommended to have on hand for the warmer summer months.
French Bulldogs need a good bath once every other week and do well with grooming wipes in between, taking extra care to wipe clean the folds of there face and skin.
Frenchies often have stomachs' sensitive to certain foods and although they will eat almost anything take notes on any treats that give them an upset stomach.
Training a french bulldog is a relatively easy task as they love treats and adore being lavished with attention.
They are pretty quiet dogs and will do well in a smaller living environment.
We love our frenchies and we are certain that as long as you meet the above requirements and can make sure you can give them what they need then the love these babies will give you is irreplacable and you will love them too!
